In their first departure from the old standard trauma kit in at least 5 years, the California Highway Patrol has adopted a completely new format. This new kit measures 19" long by 11" high by 12" front to back. Inside are pouches, pockets, elastic loops and a mesh lid pocket. The tank is secured to the bottom on a cross-linked poly-foam bed and inside dividers are removable if necessary. All handle and shoulder strap webbing is sewn completely under the bag. "Life-Assist" to market under the name "Kings Trauma Kit."
